High-end fashion labels appear together for the first time ever on the catwalk

Today Cologne was the venue of a top fashion highlight for the international children’s fashion sector. For the first time ever, Armani Junior, HUGO BOSS, Junior Gaultier, Simonetta, Paul Smith Junior and Lacoste were brought together on the catwalk by Koelnmesse and the fashion and lifestyle magazine Luna. At the Kind + Jugend trade fair in Cologne, 30 child models presented the trendy collections of the six high-end fashion labels for spring/summer 2012 at a highly exclusive Kids‘ Fashion Show.

About 150 invited guests came to Hall 10.1 at Koelnmesse to experience this highlight of the year for the children’s fashion sector. Numerous prominent fashionistas were in the audience, along with media representatives and trade visitors from all over the world.

„This was a really impressive show in every respect. We’re very happy that we managed, together with the team from Luna, to pull off an event of this kind successfully,“ said Thomas Postert, Product Manager Kind + Jugend, Koelnmesse GmbH. „As a magazine focusing on lifestyle and kids‘ fashion, we’re delighted that we could present the children’s fashions of these great fashion labels for the first time ever here in Germany. The participating high-end fashion labels have been partners of our magazine for many years, and they’re a surefire guarantee of an impressive show,“ said Cornelia Teigelkamp, Editor in Chief of Luna.

The labels at the Kids‘ Fashion Show at Kind + Jugend:

HUGO BOSS: Few German brands are as renowned for their high-quality tailoring as HUGO BOSS. Since spring/summer 2009, the company’s talented designers have been creating clothing for boys and girls between the ages of four and 16. Just like the brand’s adult fashions, the children’s collection is characterized by sophisticated cuts, exclusive materials and elegant colours.

Simonetta: Maria Bianca Mazzarini Stronati established this family-owned company in the 1950s, naming it Simonetta after her oldest daughter. Over half a century later, this fashion label is one of Italy’s leading brands. Today this fashion empire, which is based in Jesi, sells not only „Simonetta“ brand clothing but also the „Simonetta Jeans“, „Simonetta Mini“ and „Simonetta Tiny“ product lines.
These collections are made unmistakable by their subtle play of colours, shapes and cuts, a tremendous love of detail and their embodiment of proud Italian elegance.

Armani Junior: Giorgio Armani’s creations have become firmly established in the world of fashion. To satisfy the fashion needs of the smallest customers, his team creates sporty and romantic casual outfits.

Paul Smith Junior: Paul Smith is one of the best-known British fashion designers. His colourful striped and flowered patterns are popular all over the world. His collection offers chic and casual British elegance, combined with just a pinch of irony.

Junior Gaultier: Stripes, stripes and more stripes – no other designer has made stripes and the sailor look as respectable as the haute couture designer Jean Paul Gaultier. After creating spectacular bodices for Madonna, scents for „fashionistas“ and creative designs for ladies and gentlemen, he is now producing children’s fashions with a personal touch. They’re French, chic and perky!

Lacoste: For the spring/summer 2012 season, the LACOSTE Kids collection is setting sail for a bracing summer with yachting fun and surfing trips to Hawaii. The first of these themes is smart and contemporary, with traditional sailor elements such as stripes in the primary colours blue, yellow, red and green – all presented playfully with a slight twist.
