MoRoS industrial routers are now also available with the FCC certification

The robust industrial MoRoS routers from INSYS icom have been certified according to FCC Part 15 Class A. Thereby, devices from the MoRoS LAN, MoRoS Modem, and MoRoS HSPA series can be distributed in the North American and Canadian market. MoRoS HSPA now also supports the frequen-cies 850 MHz and 1900 MHz, which are typical in the US and Canada.

The new firmware version 2.8.0 for all MoRoS routers and the MLR series of high-speed mobile radio routers is another recent INSYS icom innovation. The firmware makes the devices suitable for the new INSYS Connectivity service, a central VPN service that allows customers to establish and use VPN networks for their applications, requiring no engineering effort or previous knowledge of the field.

Users can add new devices via the internet portal connectivity.insys-icom.de; the VPN settings and the system-generated certificates are downloaded automatically. Industrial routers from the MoRoS line receive their configuration including the certificates automatically after registering for the first time, but customers can also connect PCs, notebooks, and other devices from third-party manufacturers to the portal. IP addresses of connected routers can be chosen freely, regardless of other users.
The system enables remote access not only to the routers, but also to controllers and other terminal devices, allowing e.g. for remote configuration and remote maintenance.
