The new release 5 of the Git Client SmartGit/Hg brings GitHub workflows to the desktop
Version 5 of the popular Git- and Mercurial-Client SmartGit/Hg supports GitHub workflows directly from the desktop: pull requests can be created, fetched to the local repository, reviewed, commented, merged or rejected. Comments can be added, edited or deleted directly in the file content comparison („diff“ view). A dedicated „Comments“ view gives an overview of all commit comments in the repository.
SmartGit/Hg 5 supports multiple GitHub configurations, for github.com and for custom GitHub Enterprise instances. Other notable features of version 5 are commit message links to issue trackers for detected issue IDs, drag&drop operations in the Log, improved continue/abort support for merge and rebase and Mercurial Annotate and Shelve support.
