Offshore Foundations for Wind Turbines

Berlin, 04.06.2012 – The European Wind Energy Association recently published figures that show an incredible growth of 51% for offshore windpower. Still, maintaining cost efficiency in building offshore foundations for wind turbines remains a primary challenge. Get together with leading industry experts at IQPC’s 2nd International Conference Offshore Foundations for Wind Turbines, 02 – 05 July in Bremen, Germany, part of IQPC’s successful Wind Power Innovation Series.

This year’s conference will emphasize different foundation concepts and material longevity concerning offshore wind foundations. The conference starts on July 2 with a special focus day on floating concepts for offshore foundations, including five presentations and interactive roundtables on the topic.

Other central topics are listed in following:

  • Offshore foundation: New trends and case studies
  • Innovative foundation design and installation strategies for offshore wind turbines
  • Best practice in pile driving foundations
  • Reducing hydro sound emission
  • Exploring grouted connections

In addition, conference participants can sign up for a site visit “Tour de Wind” to Bremerhaven on July 5 as well as interactive workshops about foundation design and cost and time efficiency of offshore foundations.

Frequent networking breaks will ensure that participants are given ample opportunity to make contact with other relevant attendees.
