Kjellberg offers all-round Protection including Plants, Coating Service and Filler Materials
Abrasive wear is an important issue for users in many different industries: hard particles, e. g. in minerals, cause material losses at the surface of components resulting in long downtimes at the expense of productivity. This requires effective and user-specific solutions for wear protection. Under the name Fidur, Kjellberg offers an extensive portfolio including plant systems, labour services and filler materials for surface welding.
Depending on the specific requirements, different welding methods, e. g. submerged-arc welding, flux-cored arc welding or plasma-transferred arc welding are used to apply wear-resistant layers on heavily loaded components and, thus, to increase their lifetime. Kjellberg offers mobile and stationary systems for the individual requirements and operating conditions of each customer. Already completed plants, e. g. for the regeneration of drive tumblers or for the coating of point-attack tools for the use in open-cast mining, show the wide range of possible applications. Surface welding of tram rails during operation is also possible without difficulty with a welding automat made by Kjellberg.
Kjellberg offers a special service as cost-efficient solution for large-area wear protection purposes: Kjellberg produces wear protection sheets for customers in individual sizes and qualities. For the efficient production of such sheets the entire know-how of Kjellberg’s welding experts is used. Depending on requirements, the sheets can be cut with plasma, equipped with bolts or otherwise customised.
For manual surface welding, the Kjellberg product range includes 18 different surface welding electrodes – this shows the many years of experience in the field of electrode production. Depending on the base material and the requirements on the hard surfacing, the suitable electrode can be selected to carry out repair work directly on site. The product range also includes wires and flux for surface welding.
