Elite Minds in Sports Gather in London for an exclusive one day Summit on the 5th November

Oct 5th, 2013 – With this season’s Premier League in its infancy, we are beginning to see the ways in which player conditioning, signings and assessments have had a major affect on the ways in which teams perform. We are looking for the new Michu’s, those who are brought in for relatively small fees and manage to explode onto the scene, making a major impact on their team’s success.

At the same time with the financial Fair Play rules now coming into effect, teams like Manchester City, Tottenham and Chelsea, who have all made big acquisitions, need to have an accurate assessment of how big fee and big impact players will affect them as a business. Bringing in a well known but expensive player is not always the best solution to a team’s deficiencies on the pitch and can have a major effect off it.

The search for knowledge from many teams and athletes, not just in football but across the sporting spectrum, is the reason that the Innovation Enterprise has created the Elite Minds in Sports summit, in London on November 5.

Many of those currently working within sports analytics or who are looking to implement new systems want to hear from those who have gone through the same processes, where their own initiatives can build on previous successes and learn from past mistakes. This is why the summit has been designed in a way to allow those in attendance to hear from elite minds across the sporting world, including:

– Director, Elite Development, The FA

– 1st Team Physiotherapist, Manchester City FC

– Head of Fitness Development, Liverpool FC

– Head of Sports Science, Everton FC

– Head of Talent Recruitment, Everton FC

– Professor, Cornell University.

With these kinds speakers available to discuss decision making at the highest level of sporting achievement, at teams who have achieved considerable success during the past 2 years will bring to light seldom seen best practices and procedures.
