Composite Manufacturing for Automotive, Aircraft and Wind Power

Berlin, 07.06.2012 – Automatisation of carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CRFP) manufacturing is the best method to shorten processes and reduce costs in the automotive manufacturing industry. Learn at IQPC’s international conference Composite Manufacturing 2012, 02 – 04 July in Frankfurt, Germany about current challenges the industry is grappling with and find solutions in discussing them with experts onsite.

Learn how to attain affordability whilst maintaining high performance and hear of new ways how to reduce weight and emissions through unique carbon fiber material properties.

Presentations will center around following topics:

  • Market trends and outlook: e.g. fiber thermoplastics
  • New processing technologies, e.g. for air vehicles
  • Preforming and automation
  • Optimal composite material: saving resources
  • Radar reflections of wind turbines

Meet leading international experts from across the industries, for example from Airbus Operations SAS (France), BMW Group (Germany), NTT Carbon Fiber Group (UK), German Aerospace Center or the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland). In a special “Speed business meeting” and other networking breaks, participants will get the chance to discuss their individual challenges with the experts onsite.

Furthermore, they are invited to take part in interactive workshops concerning carbon fiber in passenger cars and offshore wind turbines; as well as a Lab Tour around Fraunhofer LBF in Darmstadt, featuring for example hydraulic testing machines or Thermal Stress Analyses.
