(Photo:cheap formal dresses melbourne)Many celebrities in India have been known to spend big bucks on cosmetic surgery. Once thought of as a status symbol for the rich and famous, cosmetic surgery is now also accepted by commoners, and is old news. The new ‘in’ thing in the country is cosmetic gynaecology — an answer to many women who want to aesthetically correct their private parts. Chennai-based Dr Deepa Ganesh is a pioneer in cosmetic gynaecology in India. A practising gynaecologist for more than 15 years, the doc recently realised the demand for cosmetic gynaecology. “It’s a big thing in the US — from a 17-year-old to a 65-year-old, I’ve seen women coming to the doctor for cosmetic gynaecology procedures. But as far as our country is concerned, people are becoming aware of it these days,” she says.

Known for her vibrant nature, the 38-year-old doctor was in the news recently for having introduced the G-shot in Chennai. “It’s an injection that expands and thickens the G-spot in women and enhances sexual arousal. This procedure is new in India, but is quite popular in the US,” she states.

India’s first certified cosmetic gynaecologist, Deepa never wanted to become a regular gynac. “I always wanted to do something unique. That’s when I decided to specialise in robotic gynaecology and laparoscopy,” she adds.

If not a doctor, Deepa says that she would become a fashion designer — “I have a passion for designing, and I design my own blouses and other dresses.” An adventure junkie, Deepa has tried all forms of adventure sports. “Coming from a family of sports people, it was not a big deal for me to become an athlete. Though, I was an athlete in school, I played almost all the games including basketball, tennis, swimming, etc.”

A hard-core travel buff, Deepa finds time to backpack and travel the world. “Recently in Florida, I tried bungee jumping and tandem zipline rides. It was amazing. The only adventure sport left for me is skydiving,” she beams, adding, “But my busy schedule doesn’t allow me to spend more time outside the country.”

Deepa adds that she loves to de-stress by indulging in sampling different cuisines. “I love to try different kinds of food. I don’t eat any Indian food when I travel — I try the local cuisine of that particular place.” Though a favourite of the elite club, Deepa was quite excited to see the way social life is changing in Chennai. “Our society has become very open-minded. I could easily spot one or two of my friends during a social gathering! Yes, we live in a small world,” she says, bidding adieu.Read more at:formal dress shops sydney
