Top knots are a beautiful way to get hair out of the way. Prepping is key. Work dry shampoo into hair – it is oil- absorbent and powders the hair, making it matte. Before you pin the knot, tie the hair in a ponytail above the crown. Add body to the ponytail with backcombing. Twist, twist, twist, coiling the ponytail into a big bun. Pull some hair out just in front of the knot for height.
