Scottish Premiership: Inverness Caledonian Thistle 1 Partick Thistle 2 Kris Doolan’s double earned Partick Thistle a 2-1 win to inflict Inverness Caledonian Thistle’s Womens MBT Kipimo Shoes home league defeat this season. Doolan had put Partick ahead after 20 minutes of Sunday’s Scottish Premiership clash but Gary Warren equalised for the hosts just after half-time. Doolan capitalised on Inverness goalkeeper Dean Brill’s mistake to grab an 83rd-minute winner. The setback meant Terry Butcher’s Inverness failed to take advantage of Celtic dropping points following their Nike KD 6 Texas at Hibernian on Saturday, and remain four points behind the Glasgow giants second, while Partick moved ahead of St. Johnstone into seventh. Inverness had the better of the opening exchanges with Aaron Doran going close and Ben Greenhalgh hitting the post, but it was Doolan who opened the scoring as burst through the hosts‘ defence and fired home. Butcher was left fuming soon after when a Doran equaliser from a training ground corner routine was disallowed by the referee who adjudged that Ross Drapers initial touch from the corner had not restarted play. Shortly after half-time, Butcher’s men were level when Warren rose highest to head home from a crossed free-kick. Draper and Richie Foran both missed chances as Inverness pushed for a winner, while another goal, this time from Foran, was disallowed. But when Brill fumbled a cross, Doolan was on hand to finish easily from close-range and snatch the points for Partick.
