High Wycombe, Great Britain, February 11, 2020 The international POS printer manufacturer Star Micronics announces that it has developed a flexible, cost-effective and future-proof solution for the KassenSichV that is also environmentally friendly.
Star follows a comprehensive approach that includes traditional POS, tablet and cloud cash registers and ensures that its vast range of POS printers is compatible with the new cash register regulation.
This means that the multitude of POS and payment software providers Star works with can choose the TSE provider to ensure flexibility for the future. These providers can in turn offer the retailer a tax solution that is compatible with a number of Star printers. In addition, the retailer can continue to use a Star desktop or mobile printer, or simply buy a new Star printer when needed to provide an affordable, future-proof solution.
There has been a lot of discussion about why retailers are required to provide a paper or digital receipt for all transactions in accordance with this regulation and related environmental concerns. As a manufacturer of receipt printers, Star is well positioned to offer a corresponding solution that is actually environmentally friendly thanks to the lower paper consumption.
Star offers the unique ability to create a digital receipt without the retailer needing an email address from the customer or having to provide personal information. Star Cloud Services is activated in the printer driver or in the printer itself and works independently of the retailer’s POS software. At the end of the transaction, the customer can request a digital copy of the receipt using the free Star AllReceipts ™ app. This is achieved by the customer simply scanning a QR code that is printed on the paper receipt. The immediate advantage for the customer is the option to remain anonymous and still receive a digital receipt and any vouchers offered.
Einzelhändler können zudem die Rückseite digitaler Belege gleichermaßen wie gedruckte Belege nutzen, um Gutscheine anzuzeigen, die der Kunde anschließend zusammen mit dem digitalen Beleg auf seinem Smartphone abrufen kann.
Um die Umweltbelastung weiter zu verringern, bietet Star dem Einzelhändler die Möglichkeit, einen „Mikrobeleg“ zu drucken. Diese Quittung ist wesentlich kleiner als eine Standardquittung und enthält lediglich einen QR-Code, der wiederum die vollständige digitale Quittung mit allen erforderlichen Steuerdaten repräsentiert. Der Papierverbrauch kann erheblich reduziert werden, da ein Mikrobeleg nur ungefähr 5cm lang ist. Diese Option ist bei einer ganzen Reihe von diversen Star POS-Druckern verfügbar. Darüber hinaus arbeitet Star aktiv mit einer Reihe von Papierherstellern zusammen, um sicherzustellen, dass die Drucker nicht nur phenolfreies Thermopapier verwenden können, sondern auch nachhaltiges, recycelbares und umweltfreundliches Papier. Star bietet übrigens seit über 10 Jahren kein Bisphenol A-haltiges Papier mehr an.
