San Diego, CA, January 21, 2014 – AttorneyOne.com, a recognized authority on law, updated the website recently and now, can actively provide an expert opinion in view of the recent news on Pradaxa lawsuits.
According to court documents, the next Status Conference in the Pradaxa Multidistrict Litigation is scheduled for January 24 (MDL No. 2385, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Illinois). Pradaxa, manufactured by Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, is a new oral anticoagulant mainly used as a blood thinner for patients who are at risk for stroke or atrial fibrillation. Court data, updated on January 15, by the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation reveal that there are 1,999 cases pending in the Pradaxa MDL.
As Forbes published on January 3, the US FDA plans to perform a large new safety assessment of Pradaxa (dagibatran). The study will „assess systematically the rates of bleeding and thromboembolic outcomes associated with the use of dabigatran and warfarin for patients with atrial fibrillation using data from the FDA Mini-Sentinel Distributed Database (MSDD).“
Taking into consideration the latest developments, AttorneyOne.com updated the website and, now, can actively provide an expert opinion including how to get in contact with legal counsel easily and inexpensively in cases of severe complications, allegedly from Pradaxa. Sean Burke, director of Media Relations at AttorneyOne.com, adds that the relevant information illustrates that people continue to file Pradaxa lawsuits. „For that reason“, he continues, „our focus should squarely fall on getting the word out and assisting people in finding the right legal assistance.“
On November 20, a new lawsuit was filed by a man in Missouri Eastern District Court (case no. 4:2013cv02335) alleging that he suffered gastrointestinal bleeding from Pradaxa. In the lawsuit, the plaintiff claims that he was prescribed Pradaxa for long-term maintenance and in 2011, he suffered lower gastrointestinal bleeding.
AttorneyOne.com has further information on Pradaxa lawsuits including how to get in contact with legal counsel.
