Schweiz stellt weltweit erstmalig Netzwerk zum Datenaustausch über Cyberbedrohungen vor, bereitgestellt durch Anomali und die Security Interest Group Switzerland

A seamless, secure exchange of information about security risks enables faster responses to cyberattacks in Switzerland

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM – [31. January 2018] – Anomali, the leading provider of threat management and collaboration solutions, has launched Switzerland’s first Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ISAC). This is done in close cooperation with Security Interest Group Switzerland (SIGS), which Anomali_logo Schweiz stellt weltweit erstmalig Netzwerk zum Datenaustausch über Cyberbedrohungen vor, bereitgestellt durch Anomali und die Security Interest Group Switzerlandbrings together the security experts of Swiss companies in the fight against cybercrime. The SIGS-ISAC will help companies benefit from each other through the rapid exchange of data on cyber threats (Threat Intelligence). In the process, large volumes of data are evaluated in real time and converted into usable information in order to limit risks even further.

„Sharing information is central to raising the understanding of cybersecurity. My goal is to support all organizations and companies in Switzerland through an exchange platform on cyber threats, which pools the insights of different industries and thus improves the defense against attacks from the Internet.

I want to shy away from cybersecurity companies and encourage open dialogue between like-minded people, increase the number of experts in the field, and multiply their know-how through mutual learning. We can save time and resources and add real value if we do not constantly have to reinvent the wheel. Currently, the information exchange is still in its infancy. Therefore, I hope that this platform eliminates existing concerns and can be a valuable source of better protection for businesses, „said Gabi Gerber, founder of Security Interest Group Switzerland.

Existing initiatives of the Swiss government are mainly limited to the protection of critical infrastructures (GovCERT.ch). This will make it more difficult for other companies to access core data and analytics to defend against cyber threats, and they will continue to be exposed to malicious attacks from the Internet. The SIGS-ISAC provides all organizations and companies with valuable information about cyber threats in order to identify and mitigate such cyber risks.

The SIGS-ISAC is powered by the Anomali ThreatStream platform, which automatically collects, evaluates and integrates information about cyber threats from hundreds of sources. It allows security professionals to better identify and respond more effectively to potential malicious attack threats and tactics. At the same time, sharing and collaborating on this ISAC will allow companies to share their insights on possible attack vectors with others in advance. This makes a difference to companies when they are affected by a known and shared attack pattern. Internal information remains confidential, as the members of the network can anonymize selected information and thus ensure absolute discretion.

„We are delighted to support SIGS in countering cybercrime in Switzerland and raising public awareness of this issue. The power of the security community should not be underestimated in the cybersecurity world. Information on Internet risks from all sources, be they public or private, as well as the exchange of information between like-minded people are central to an optimal defense strategy against cyber threats, „says Colby DeRodeff, Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer at Anomali.
