This is my feedback for the IBT/M 2010
I have over 12 years of teaching experience in schools and colleges in the UK, but came to this course to gain experience in "intercultural training" of which I had little.
This was also the first time I had invested in my own training with such a considerable amount of money. ...I have over 12 years of teaching experience in schools and colleges in the UK, but came to this course to gain experience in "intercultural training" of which I had little.
This was also the first time I had invested in my own training with such a considerable amount of money.
The result is I have gained in confidence and have started to recognise my own training style, which is my own and not entirely like others. I feel it was the right course for me and represented good value for money. I say this because it met my needs and the amount of training contact time was very considerable. I went away each night feeling I had just done two training days rolled up into one. If you can pay and forget about the money, enjoy this course and use it to launch you into a intercultural or international related area of training. It is very well organised, of a high quality and targeted to the needs of the participants.
I found the course to be enjoyable and rigourous at the same time. It certainly represented a journey for me as i came to the course wanting to gain confidence and experience in becoming a trainer as well as an intercultural trainer. All three trainers Brigitte, Susanne and Gary helped me gain an understanding of how I can gain my own training style, improve it and I appreciate the help they gave me.
Gary Thomas is an excellent trainer with a lovely disarming training style. He inspired, moderated, moved us forward and had a bit of fun all at the same time. Brigitte and Susanne are lovely with a similar nurturing and genuine style. Overall I felt valued and looked after. Thank you Stoeger and Partners.
I will now use this to springboard me into training "intercultural basics" in the medium of English. I will use it alongside my original intention to teach "business english" here in Germany.
Having "taught" for many years I am now perfecting how to "train" and "develop". I have always been drawn to international settings or groups having lived in various countries around the world from Nigeria to the Emirates. My new venture will focus on "learning within international groups".
